The new Dettol Gold range has been designed to give you and your family a double protection in germ protection’s product. Formulated for superior protection from germs and enriched with invigorating lemongrass oil, the Dettol Gold range will leave your skin feeling fresh, clean and cared for.
A good handwashing routine plays a significant role in keeping you and your family healthy and happy. Hand washing with soap and water removes substantially more disease causing germs than handwashing with water alone. This is important since our hands are the biggest carrier of germs. How can Dettol Gold help me and my family?
Using the Dettol Gold range as part of your family’s hand washing and hygiene routine will help protect you from lots of everyday germs, including those that can cause the following illnesses:
Diarrhoea is a huge problem in some lower income countries but this can easily be reduced by washing your hands. The CDC (Center for disease control) did some research that showed a 42-47% reduction in diarrhoea when a community starts to wash its hands. This is because this disease is often spread from person to person through contaminated hands so frequent hand washing is important to reduce this.
The bacteria responsible for skin infections flourish in hot, humid weather and spread through close skin contact or sharing contaminated objects. Simply washing your hands regularly with water and Dettol Gold Anti-Bacterial Hand Soap, will help keep the bacteria responsible for skin infections at bay. iii
Viral and Respiratory Infections
Respiratory infections including the flu (influenza) are usually the result of viral infections. The most common ways these viral infections are contracted is by touching a contaminated surface and then passing those germs onto your mouth, nose or eyes. Frequent and thorough hand washing throughout the day with water and soap is one the easiest ways to prevent you and your family from becoming ill with viral infections which can then lead on to a respiratory infection.
Pneumonia is also an acute respiratory infection which causes the swelling of the tissues in the lungs and this one is caused by a bacterial infection. Pneumonia causes the tiny air sacs in your lungs to become clogged with fluid making it hard to breath. Whilst there are vaccines that you can take to prevent pneumonia from occurring, washing your hands regularly is a great way to help prevent the spreading and catching of the disease.
Gastroenteritis is caused by a bacterial or viral tummy bug. It’s very common and affects people of all ages, but is particularly common in young children. Just like respiratory illness, the bacteria and viruses responsible for gastroenteritis spread very easily but the good news is you can stop the contamination chain by washing your hands with water and soap. Regular and thorough hand washing will protect you and your family from gastroenteritisiv so take particular care to wash your hands before eating or preparing food, and after going to the toilet. Dettol Gold Anti-Bacterial Hand Soap is Dettol’s gold standard of germ protection, with the entire range designed to give you our best protection yet.
